The shrimp and tuna were our favorites out of the bunch, but we did love that there were some crab claws included (even though they were a little more difficult to eat). Palo serves dinner and brunch, but for this trip, we got to experience the brunch side of things. Palo used to be famous for its brunch buffet, but things have changed and it is more of a traditional sit-down experience now. One of the big benefits of a cruise is that it is generally an all-inclusive type of vacation. Your room, food, all kinds of entertainment, and more are typically included in one single cost — making planning and budgeting a whole lot easier. The tea party is for young cruisers ages 3 to 12, though a parent will have to accompany their children. Fans of the Avengers and other Marvel characters will love dining in Worlds of Marvel. The meal starts with your hosts, Ant-Man and the Wasp, explaining what the interactive quantum core on your table is for. Then, throughout the meal, you'll work with Marvel superheroes to save the ship from an impending villain. The beauty of the a la carte menu — in addition to simply having more choices — is you can indulge as much or as little as you wish.

Breakfast and lunch are both open seating, so you don't have to wait for a certain time or your assigned dinner table to be open to enjoy a meal. On disembarkation day, your family will dine in the final restaurant of your set rotation, whether you ate dinner there or not. Palo Brunch Menu Highlights
Palo is an adult-only restaurant that is available on all of the Disney ships. They are larger than the Classic ships with a seating capacity of 128 and 16 outside. Each restaurant has enough seating for 120 guests, but I have never seen it at capacity. Of course, at the moment, it will not be anywhere near capacity.
To start off our meal, we were presented with the Mushroom Amuse Bouche. This isn’t on the menu and comes compliment of the chef as a way to set the tone for the rest of your meal. While it isn’t overflowing with flavor, we enjoyed it as a starter. So, we made sure to book our reservation as soon as the dining booking window opened for our cruise! While brunch at Palo is fun and indulgent, dinner at Palo feels extra special and upscale — especially if you are there as the sun slips below the horizon on another day at sea. The Disney cruise rotational dining restaurants are very good, so we only ever book one or possibly two Palo dinners for each cruise. The Champagne brunch combines buffet choices with made-to-order items delivered to your table.
This elegant restaurant offers a diverse menu that combines the best of breakfast and lunch in a sophisticated setting. Additional items beyond the prix fixe menu may be added at an additional charge. Brunch starts with a glass of prosecco or a mimosa, then your choice of antipasti plates. I suggest taking a few people with you to brunch so you can try a few of the dishes on the menu, though one not to miss is the chicken Parmesan that's served with risotto. Another favorite is the lasagna, which is the perfect size for everyone to get a few bites before moving on to something else.

One difference on Disney Fantasy and Dream is that on the Classic Ships, Palo is on its own and has its own bar within the restaurant. Plus, most of the dishes are shared among family or friends, so choosing this option makes it so I can try more things. The a la carte menu is also the only way to try the restaurant's iconic potato gnocchi, which is tossed in a fresh basil pesto sauce. The Champagne brunch at Enchante is a prix-fixe meal paired with a glass of Champagne, while Just Desserts is a five-course dessert menu served with some of the best coffee on the ship. Finally, we ended things off with the Buttermilk Panna Cotta Pot. This had strawberry popping pearls and pistachio crumble. We have to give a lot of points to this dessert on presentation alone. The bright colors and chocolate details on top made it very visually appealing.
A highlight is when Elsa's "ice magic" from the movie lights up the dining room through fiber optics in the ceiling. Kids can join in the final celebration and march around the restaurant conga line-style as they wave flags and sing along to "Love is an Open Door" with the dining room service team. However, while the included restaurants are generally well done and absolutely worth experiencing, they are serving hundreds of guests at a time. The venues can get loud and simply can't provide the same experience you'll find in a more intimate and peaceful space with high-end food and no kids allowed. The $50 price tag certainly isn't too much to ask for all that. Most of the sit-down dinner restaurants on Disney (even the Marvel and Frozen-themed ones) are included in the price of your cruise, so it can feel silly to book one that costs extra.

The seafood was plentiful and the full-bodied broth was slightly spicy. Cocktails at Palo are served from the Meridian Lounge, which Palo shares with Remy. We chose the Pink Cadillac, with coconut and watermelon liquors mixed with Möet Ice. There is also a dress code; men need dress pants or slacks and a collared shirt, women need a dress, or skirt or pants with a blouse.
The quality of the food, service, and experience is worth it. With Disney Palo Brunch there will be either sparkling wine or a Mimosa included in the cost. In my experience, there is a pretty wide range of interpretations of this Palo dress code, but most people are dressed in what would be described as “smart casual”. Once you are on board you can book as many Palo reservations as you want. It is only prior to boarding that you are limited to booking just once. A large number of reservations are held back for booking on the cruise.
The Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are also home to Remy, which serves fabulous French-inspired cuisine for brunch and dinner. The Roasted Free-Range Lemon and Thyme Chicken, served with roasted baby vegetables, garlic, potatoes, and chianti thyme sauce, also impressed us. The chicken was moist and very well flavored and everything on the side complimented the dish perfectly.
Each child will receive an assortment of gifts as a keepsake after the event. No matter which you choose, be sure to get the signature Palo chocolate souffle with vanilla bean gelato for dessert. One of the best things about a cruise is the food, especially if you're sailing on Disney Cruise Line. Expect a multi-course dinner at Palo to be close to a two-hour affair, which I'd say is an excellent use of your $50 (plus tip). The seafood antipasti with crab claw, ahi tuna, shrimp and dill honey mustard was a fresh, light counter to some of the heavier items that made their way to my place setting. If you have Palo Dinner this means that you have to miss a rotational dining room experience.
